Self-Defense & Empowerment WrxShops


Join us for a 1-Night Self-Defense & Physical Empowerment Class!

Women (Age 18+) - Monday, November 12th     7:00pm – 9:00pm

at Callahan’s Karate Studio, Bedford

Led by Winnie Callahan, Co-Owner of Callahan’s Karate and Jennifer Buckley, Founder of GrooveWrx and The Girl Power WrxShop, this interactive class addresses the challenges women and teen girls face regarding personal safety, physical confidence and positive body image. In a fun and supportive environment we will demonstrate and practice simple, yet effective self-defense techniques and review other tips for safety and building confidence. We share a lot of important information in just one night! Register through Bedford Recreation. $15 per person. All net proceeds benefit the “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” program that provides our community members in need with financial assistance in order to take part in Recreation Department programs.
